 The Platform Noise Scanner with replaceable probes function can be equipped with TRC GPS Probe. A signal generator, TRC’s GPS module and TRC GPS Probe are required for setting up the measurement of the degradation of GPS C/N ratio on Tablet PC, Ultrabook, Smartphone, and so on. The GPS Probe is sophisticatedly designed for accurate and time efficient scans that within 10 minutes users can view the test result. The average scan speed is up to 100 times quicker than the ordinary probes. |
 The TRC’s GPS module is based on GPS modulation and coding mechanism, so the measurement results represent the “real” degradation level of the receiving performance of the GPS.
Besides, the TRC’s GPS module is more stable than the traditional spectrum analyzer. From the figures shown below, the same test setting was used, and the red circles in Fig. 3 shows the unstable measurement result if PNS is equipped with the spectrum analyzer. With TRC GPS Probe and Module, the result clearly shows no uncertain spots in terms of the colors.
