Bluetooth Specification and Qualification

For a manufacturer to use Bluetooth technology in their products they must first sign a Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) membership agreement, this is subject to an intellectual property license. The purpose of the qualification process is to enable interoperability of Bluetooth equipment between different manufacturers. Bluetooth qualification works by conformance testing with a reference test system as well as functional interoperability testing against another qualified Bluetooth product. Once a product is Bluetooth qualified the company is then permitted to use the Bluetooth brand.

Established in 1985, Training Research Co., Ltd (TRC) is an EM field testing and certification laboratory that is headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. Not only are we specialized in building BQTF test system, we also design customized chambers, shield rooms / boxes for our clients.

Bluetooth Throughput / Coexistence Test

TRC’s Pneumatic Shield Box is designed for Bluetooth throughput rate test, along with the 3 Meter Chamber, we can perform Bluetooth / WLAN coexistence testing. Our TRC testing equipment have been widely used for pre-qualification testing by clients such as, Lenovo, HP, ASUS, Acer, Dell, Samsung, Sony, Compal, Quanta, Wistron, and Foxconn…etc.

Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility

Bluetooth Qualification is a certification process of testing standards for all products that use Bluetooth wireless technology. A Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF), accredited by the SIG's BQRB, is to perform those Bluetooth qualification tests requiring an accredited facility, identified as "Category A" in the Test Case Reference List (TCRL). A BQTF must be a SIG Member or a wholly owned subsidiary of such.
